Jill has many musical influences, but Elvis Presley and Patsy Cline were her earliest. Now, Jill is rocking in Retro Polatin, a dance band that brings the fun back to music. Jill is a high energy entertainer who sings rockabilly and early rock and roll songs from the 50's and 60's. Jill singing shows her love of the music.
David Lee started playing the guitar when he was seven years old. The first song he played was "Love Me Tender." He soon quit the guitar when he realized that he could't comb his crewcut into a ducktail.
Years later, he started playing again and listening to Chuck Berry, Louis Jordan, Eddie Cochran and Wanda Jackson. He formed a family band, "Dotsie and the Cool Cats" with his daughter and son. They played in local talent shows and a "Live at the Apollo" Night at the Strand Theatre in Boston to an audience of nine hundred.
Next, he joined the Larry Lee Lewis Band, a rockabilly group. The band played great olds songs, with comedy between the sets.
David Lee enjoys playing vintage rock and roll and says, "The great thing about this music is that it seems to transcend age, musical taste, and all that other stuff. We're finding that young people enjoy our shows just as much as the folks who were there dancing at the birth of Rock and Roll."
Brad, as with many others, was influenced by the Beatles. "They were the greatest band ever. When I first heard them, I knew that I wanted to play music." Brad still play Paul's Hofner Bass, as well as, the keyboards.
Lloyd Baron (percussion) - Lloyd has been performing for over thirty years with top function and club bands throughout New England. In addition, he performed with Gerry Kniewood and back up band to Leslie Gore. His specialty is playing a wide variety of styles, a perfect fit
